- Subject: cohesive blocks measure
Hi, my name is Dania Cordaz and I'm a PhD student at the department of social science University of Pisa - Italy. I'm studing a collaboration's network of 42 voluntary organizations and I'm trying to measure cohesion. I read some article about this measure and I would ask you how can I calculate nestedness measure? I try to measure cohesive blocks with NetMiner but I don't understand what is "C(o,1), C(1,1), etc... and I don't understand how I can darw the tree of cohesive blocks....How can I do it? Could you give me any suggestions? Which program can calculate this measure?
Many Thanks
- Dania Cordaz

Has a new program for this (Moody-White algorithm) in the Igraph program for R. The page has not been simplified as yet as a tutorial but following the free software installation instructions you can then cut and paste R commands into the command window (after configuring your data as per the example) and get the results.Doug White 09:05, 5 February 2008 (PST)
