55 - your rough draft (10%) and term paper (45%), draft due week 6, Oct 28 and paper at end of term (alternatives to main themes may be proposed but must be approved by instructor and will require meetings the TA. Do not attempt to substitute work that is not generated from the class itself, no papers off the web, from friends, assisted by parents, copied or bought from the web will qualify for even partial credit! So think seriously about the early readings, use of the Spss database SCCS, and what will make your research and writing original -- only regular class attendance will may this possible. And dont wait till the last week to write your term paper. Maximum length WITH TABLES is 20 pages, at least 8 pages double-spaced text, and format your tables carefully. This will all be explained in detail in the class, and the classroom will serve as your laboratory. Other than that, have fun with this as I did with my 2-day essay.)
