[edit] Images from Pajek
From the Draw window
- Export/2D/bmp and give the output graph a name.
In Word you can Insert/Picture and choose to insert a bmp
To upload an image to a wiki the bmp is not accepted.
"It is very easy to transform BMP to JPG, e.g., on every windows installation there is a program Paint (in Accessories), which can do that. There also exist several others (free): Irfan View, Lview, Paint shop Pro..."
- Andrej Mrvar
Thus open Paint read the *.bmp and export/convert to *.jpg Then follow the upload instructions below on this wiki page.
[edit] High quality images
[edit] Write the image to SVG
Scalable vector graphics (SVG) is a high quality image. From the Draw window
- In Pajek Graphics screen use Export/2D/SVC/General and give the output graph a name. This will create two files in your directory, an *.htm and a *.SVG file that is read by the *.htm as a url or directly as *.svg on this wiki! PLEASE NOTE: you can upload your image in the toolbox below left. Svg was enabled on this wiki by our WikiSysopWikiSysop on 18 April 2009 (PDT)
[edit] Alternatively: Open the *.htm to view the *.SVG image
This is not necessary as a wiki *.svg wiki upload will be read directly without the *.htm file.
- Separately from Pajek (do not close Pajek), click the *.htm and open with Internet Explorer.
- It may take a bit (much longer for a very large file) but the *.htm will first show a blank screen within a frame and then the new image will occur
[edit] Right click the image and use option copy the image
Then paste the image into WORD.
- If you have Adobe Acrobat, save the WORD file as a *.pdf
- Open the *.pdf in Adobe Acrobat,
- In Adobe Acrobat, /Document/Crop and use top/bottom/left/right controls to trim the image.
Save the image as *.pdf
- /File/Save as ... choose *.jpg
