IPAM’s 10th Anniversary Conference to be held Nov. 2-4, 2010! http://www.ipam.ucla.edu/programs/ann2010/
Please join IPAM in celebrating its anniversary and its continued support from NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences! IPAM’s 10th Anniversary Conference will be held Nov. 2-4, 2010. Talks and panel sessions will assess the current state and the future of interdisciplinary mathematics and science. Speakers from academia, government and industry will present research results related to programs from IPAM’s first ten years. Josh Tenenbaum (MIT) and Tony Chan (HKUST) will give public lectures. A complete list of speakers and a registration form is available online.
Upcoming IPAM Long Programs:
Each IPAM long program will involve a community of senior and junior researchers. The intent is for long-term participants to have an opportunity to learn about the topic of the program from the perspectives of many different fields, to meet a diverse group of people, and to form new collaborations. Each long program includes opening tutorials, four or five workshops (each one is listed under "upcoming workshops"), and a culminating workshop at Lake Arrowhead. Funding is available both to attend our entire 3-month program and to attend individual workshops; those interested are encouraged to apply through the website of the program that interests them. Applications received three months in advance of the long program will receive fullest consideration.
