Kinship and compadrazgo

Kinship and compadrazgo fit nicely in the TIPP Kinship and computing approach because they can be represented as relationships between couples at one level (pgraph/compa graph), couples and individuals (ahijados), and individuals/individuals (this takes a Petri net with couples AND individuals in a nice tight fit).

Your papers have provided potential models for a couple of projects -- one I spoke about many years ago on compradrazgo links I gathered in field work in the 1960s. This is indepth data on several generations of three types of compas. Because the reference persons were different for each type and often covered complementary and same kinship networks I could never figure out where to start. -- Thomas Weaver
