Hi Doug,

It looks like you may have already figured this out on your own, but just below the area you present in your screen shot is a row of radio buttons and a Browse button. This is how you upload items: select the radio button for "Galley" then browse for the file on your computer and click Upload.

The PDF generator should appear in the Layout section whenever a Word file is uploaded there. I do see, however, that there seems to be a problem with the PDF generator and it is sometimes not appearing when it should. I have created a bug ticket for this to be investigated, however the OJS developer is out of the office for the next couple of weeks. In the mean time, I suggest creating the PDF on your computer.

The process for sending the reviews to the author is outlined in another large yellow box within the system. On the 2. Review page, just under the place where you register your editorial decision, click the envelope icon to notify the author of your decision. The email page that appears contains detailed instructions for sharing the reviews with the author.

Kind regards,

-justin gonder

Hi Doug,

Article 19009 is located in an issue that you attempted to publish, so you can located by going to Manage All Submissions > Back Issues > Vol 6, No 3. From there you'll see two items in the TOC. 19009 is the Gots article. Click on its title. Now move to the 3. Editing page for this article. Scroll down to the Layout section. Here you'll see that you've successfully uploaded a *.zip file (presumably the folder of content you were referring to) to the Supplementary Files line. However there is no PDF in the yellow Galley line, which is why this article isn't showing up on your public-facing site.

Once you've added a PDF, return to that TOC page (Manage All Submissions > Back Issues > Vol 6, No 3) and check the other article (by Abrutyn). Click on its title and move to the 3. Editing page again. You'll need to add a PDF to the yellow Galley line for this article as well.

Once both articles have a PDF, return once more to the TOC page (Manage All Submissions > Back Issues > Vol 6, No 3) and click "Update Published Issue." to publish the issue.

Kind regards,

-justin gonder
