99-101 are foreigners living at Alaganik (p. 126)
1115 highest number used for any individual
Two villages: Eyak, with Raven chiefs, and Alaganik, with Eagle Chiefs
Each family had a house at each, and moved back and forth freely (p. 36),

winter house and summer camp.

Eyak central structure was the fort, near it two moiety potlatch houses, of

double height walls; outside post with moiety bird, eagle or raven.

Dwelling houses whereever anyone wanted to build. No moiety segregation.
Alaganik graveyard (p. 29): has chief of Wolf People
Shaman and two attendants (p. 38) plus two potlatch houses remembered, but

60 people living in each at the time of Abercrombie's visit in 1884. Dances and visitors staying there. Both buildings new, Russian architectural influence. 7 other houses.

also a village half a mile below Eyak (p. 30)
another site obliterated by the Copper River Railway (p. 31)
the last community house was that of Chief Joe and his two brothers, neither

of whom appear on the genealogy (p. 33), three separate rooms, not internally partitioned

In tale 17, the two daughters of Chief Calm Weather not only had separate

rooms, but lived in a house of their own.
