For 1.33 extra credits you can sign up for the videoconference workshop in social networks and complexity, a live colloqium series at UCI with speakers on complexity studies in the social sciences and related fields. It is open for enrollments of undergraduates. The workload is light as it is a colloquium and discussion, only a short paper on one of the speakers is required. It is also (a) a useful complement to this course, and (b) introduces you to a wider range of topics in social sciences and complexity, which is on its way to being an undergraduate minor at UCI as it is at UCLA (Human Complex Systems minor). Ask me about it if you are interested. First talk in the fall 2009 series - previous fall 2007 series THERE IS NO PREREQUISITE FOR GRADUATE STANDING, UNDERGRADS CAN REGISTER FOR THIS SEMINAR.
