Paul Jorion
From InterSciWiki
Wikipedia:Paul Jorion (pauljorion@ucla.edu) was approved as an HCS Visiting Scholar (Complexity Program) for the 2008-2009 academic year by the UCLA Graduate Division. His website: www.pauljorion.com (posted by John Bragin) May 2008
Paul's 2007 book Vers la crise du capitalisme américain? made the top ten list of the (French Le Prix des lecteurs du livre d' économie 2007) “Readers of economy books’ prize”. Then after being called French "fluffy" by David Letterman, Paul called the implosion of the subprime meltdown on September 5, 2008. So much for fluff. French President Sarcozy discussed his book and then attacked its presuppositions. Jorion, nonetheless, had won 5th place by the French Senate's Scientific Committee
