Just found out about another artificial Intelligence paper that uses the Alyawarra kinship data in ways directly related to the work by Charles Kemp et al at MIT a few years ago. Just copied it but haven't had time to read it yet. Thought you might like to take a look ... (2007) Statistical Predicate Invention (SPI) Stanley Kok + Pedro Domingos WWD. They test SPI using a ten-fold cross-validation on four data sets, one of which is our 142 person Alyawarra kinship data and "then introduced MRC, an approach to SPI based on second-order Markov logic. MRC forms multiple relational clusterings of the symbols in the data and iteratively refines them." The best performance is for the kinship data.
