i dont know of a free viewer for stella. bob hanneman likes stella, but he likes netlogo even more. it is an agent-based approach.. peter turchin is shifting from APL, an old vector-based language, to MatLab (which is C++ with a lot of graphics capabilities.) Stella is kind of simulations for idiots because you build the model with diagrams, but you end up having to make all the same decisions about the functional form of relationships anyway. --CCD
