i think the comparison, which was brought by Nardi) of the burning man event to that of the life of the "Qebotzem" in Israel and that of the Temple of Jerusalem are not the most fitting examples.

the "Qebotzem" in Israel is a machine to produce Zionists through experience. and this experience is not easy to get over after the completion of a term, and plays a role in shaping identity. of course, the "Qebotzem" are not temporary structures.

the second example of the Temple in Jerusalem should not have been brought as an example of an event. We need least an event existed 2000 years ago to explain an emerging popular event. leave alone the fact that every visitor to the Temple has to pay (it was not free) and has institution.

Music festivals and carnivals which last for a week or so, and dismantled afterwards, are better examples.
