Gonder's help for editors

Dear Doug,

I've taken the unpublished items out of Volume 5, No 2. You can now re-assign the proper articles to Volume 5, No 2 and publish those changes when ready.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Get author review to publish" but you may be referring to the "PROOFED AND APPROVED BY AUTHOR" indicator that appears in the table of contents. This indicator will turn green when the author has completed the proofreading process and marked it as complete.

The proofreading process (from an Editor's perspective) is covered in the Proofreading video. A separate video shows the proofreading process from the author's perspective.

If that's not what you were looking for, let me know.

Kind regards,

Help for Reviewers

eScholarship's submission management system includes a peer-review toolkit designed to streamline the peer review process for both editors and reviewers. Once you receive a request to review a manuscript for an eScholarship journal, you'll gain access to an easy-to-use dashboard where you can respond to the review request, access the manuscript and upload your report, all in one place.

Chapter 6 of the eScholarship Journal Manual provides step-by-step instructions for reviewers, alongside detailed screenshots of the peer review management system. The brief video below also guides reviewers through the process of responding to review requests and submitting a report.

Additional resources such as short, targeted tutorials will be available on this page in the near future.

The latest version of the manual (available below) was last updated on October 5, 2011. Check this page often for updated material.
