Network Theory and Social Complexity: I wanted to use network analysis to comprehend the impact of information (ICTs) on society, and the method to conceptualize the the design and implementation of such systems. To me, network theories supported the traditionally 'loose' empirical support for rich ethnographic findings. It identifies generalizable group phenomena that may be used for concrete design of ICTs.
